My entry into any math competition was a dream that came to me from a young age. I grew up in a house of science and knowledge and more than that in mathematics.
My dear mother was a lover of engineering, and statistics. I do not look at numbers as numbers but as friends. I learned to defend them in matters, "a friend in a time of distress". Thanks Allah, I have solved many problems, and I have decided that I have to
deal with a lot of problems on a larger scale.
I had several experiences at winning in
competitions at the class, school and Saudi Arabia levels. But I have not come to my destination yet. I was hoping to get to the global level. Thanks Allah, I had the opportunity to enter a competition at the global level known as the "International Youth Math Challenge."
As soon as I registered for the contest, questions were answered, and the answers were sent. I waited several weeks for them to reply until an email was sent saying, "Congratulations, you have qualified for the next round." .
Therefore the questions for the pre-final round were answered, and the answers were sent with determination to reach the final round. Thank Allah I was qualified for the final round. Three days ago, I received an email carrying what I wish (a moment of being qualified for the final round). The amount of pride and happiness was indescribable at that moment. Being qualified for an international competition and being ambassador to my country was my passion and especially in my journey as an exchange student. I really felt that I was an ambassador not only for my precious country, but for the youth, YES and AFS.
I write this article not only about the competition but also to prove that we are all ambassadors for our countries and for the program and for all young people. "With our ambitions we build the impossible"
